To ensure a smooth and efficient installation process, please review and complete the following steps prior to the project.
Before the Project
Clear the Area
- Remove all items from the garage, including rugs, carpets, vehicles, tools, and storage items.
- Ensure the space is completely empty before the crew arrives. (Note: Our team does not move or remove items.)
- Inform your crew leader of any pre-existing damage in the garage to avoid misunderstandings.
Moisture Control
- Inspect the garage for any moisture or leaks, as these can affect the coating application.
- Address any potential water issues before installation to avoid delays.
- If the work is being performed during the summer and you have a dehumidifier, consider running it during rainy or particularly humid conditions to ensure the area stays dry. While this is not required, it can help create an optimal environment for the coating to adhere properly.
Ventilation
- If your garage or workspace has windows, consider leaving them slightly open, provided the weather is not forecasted to rain or to be too humid. This can help maintain a dry and well-ventilated environment.
- We recommend leaving your garage door slightly cracked the night before the project to equalize indoor and outdoor air pressure. This helps create the ideal conditions for the coating process.
Choose Your Color
- Confirm your color choice with your sales representative at least two weeks prior to installation.
- Our team custom-orders your selected color for a seamless application. If you have not chosen a color, please contact Anthony or Shanna for assistance.
Weather Considerations
- While the work is weather-dependent, our team can complete the project in most conditions. For example:
- Light rain or mist: Work can still proceed as planned.
- Cold weather: We can work in temperatures as low as 35°F, provided it is warming up to around 45°F during the day.
- Extreme conditions (e.g., heavy downpours, freezing temperatures): These may require rescheduling, but rest assured, we will notify you in advance if weather will impact the project.
- If you have any concerns about the weather on the day of your project, feel free to reach out to us for clarification.
Accessibility
- Ensure work areas are accessible from 7:45 AM to 4:45 PM, Monday–Saturday.
- Remove any vehicles blocking the driveway or workspaces before 7:45 AM.
Water and Electricity
- Ensure water and electrical outlets in the garage are functional and accessible.
During the Project
- Keep pets and children away from the work area for their safety.
- Do not re-enter the garage until the crew has confirmed it is safe to do so.
Porta-Potty Request
- Designate a bathroom for crew use, or let us know if you’d prefer to arrange for a porta-potty.
