Preparation Checklist: Power Washing

To ensure a smooth and efficient power washing process, please review and complete the following steps before our crew arrives.

Before the Project

Vehicles

  • Relocate all vehicles away from the building prior to our arrival.

Windows and Doors

  • Close all windows and doors securely.
  • Remove window screens, if applicable. (We are not responsible for damage to screens left in place.)
  • Be aware of potential thermo-window moisture damage.

Sensitive Areas

  • Identify and inform the crew of any areas susceptible to water penetration. (We are not responsible for damage to areas not brought to our attention.)

Pets and Children

  • Contain or remove pets during the project to ensure their safety.
  • Keep children away from the work area.

Plants and Landscaping

  • Notify the crew about any specialty or exotic plants that require extra care.
  • Remove or protect flowers, vegetables, or other delicate landscaping. (We are not responsible for incidental damage to flowerbeds.)

Awnings

  • Remove any canvas awnings before our arrival.

Electrical and Systems

  • Be aware that we are not responsible for damage to:
    • Exterior electrical sockets
      Alarm systems
    • Phone or cable systems caused by water penetration

Special Circumstances

  • Inform the crew of any clogged gutters or leaders before washing. (We are not responsible for pre-existing clogs.)
  • Notify us if your property uses well water, as it may affect water pressure.
  • Protect fish ponds or other sensitive features prior to our arrival.

Document Existing Damage

  • Inform the crew leader of any broken or damaged items before work begins.
  • Notify the crew of any broken glass or damaged furniture near the work area.
